Moroccan and Saudi businessmen expressed their willingness to develop a plan to increase trade and strengthen investment between the two countries, taking into account the opportunities and incentives offered by the economic and sectoral visions of the Kingdom of Morocco and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
This was reflected in the statements made by participants at the Moroccan-Saudi Economic Forum, organized in Casablanca on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, by the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) and the Federation of Saudi Chambers of Commerce.
The meeting between the Saudi businessmen and their Moroccan counterparts comes after a series of talks held on Monday, July 1, in Rabat, with four Moroccan government ministers. Hassan Ben Mujib Al Huwaizi, President of the Federation of Saudi Chambers of Commerce, who is leading a delegation representing more than 25 companies visiting Morocco, expressed his ambition to strengthen trade and investment between the two countries, particularly in light of the economic plans and incentives offered by both kingdoms.
Al Huwaizi emphasized the importance of building sustainable economic and commercial ecosystems between the two countries, emphasizing the Saudi business delegation's desire to explore the opportunities offered by Morocco, particularly in the areas of renewable energy, infrastructure, services, and new technologies.
For his part, Chakib Alj, President of the CGEM, focused on investment opportunities in both countries and the possibility of strengthening them, particularly through recently launched projects. He emphasized the need to develop logistics and maritime transport given the volume of trade between the two countries.
